What do you have as ConfigEditor= in Rainmeter.ini (usually located in %APPDATA%\Rainmeter)? Try closing first closing Rainmeter, then remove the ConfigEditor= line and save the file. Now start Rainmeter and check that it works.

I suspect you have accidentally changed your .ini file association from Notepad to SkinInstaller. What happens when you double-click on .ini files (e.g. Clock.ini)? Does it open with Notepad?

Can try this:
1) Close Rainmeter
2) Go to your Rainmeter installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\Rainmeter). Copy the Rainmeter.dll file onto your desktop (it will be restored later).
3) Download and extract http://poiru.net/rmtest.zip and copy the correct Rainmeter.dll (x32/x64) into your Rainmeter installation folder
4) Now start Rainmeter and press the Edit button. You'll get a messagebox. Copy the contents of this messagebox (CTRL + C) and paste them here.

When you're done, you can restore the Rainmeter.dll file on your desktop.

when i double, the previous error pop out.

This happen after i try to apply "chiichan skin"http://hanabiratachi48.deviantart.com/art/Chiichan-Rainmeter-162986293
by copying the folder into the skin folder.

Code: Select all

---------------------------
Command
---------------------------
1:C:\Users\user\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\illustro\Clock\Clock.ini

2:"C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\SkinInstaller.exe" "C:\Users\user\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\illustro\Clock\Clock.ini"
---------------------------
OK

That means that you've accidentally changed the .ini file association. To fix, right-click on any .ini file -> Properties. Then follow the image below:

You will have to restart Rainmeter after changing the association.
