Check my updated post above, and download the new version. Then:

Go to "My Documents/Rainmeter/Skins/Soita
Paste the SoitaSpotify.ini file attached to this post.
Restart Rainmeter.
You can now right click on the skin, go to variants and chose SoitaSpotify.ini

Hope it works out.

can you please create a version of this for the CLN skin? It has the same problems with Spotify as the Soita skin had before you made the SoitaSpotify ini. I basically like how the white version of the CLN skin looks with my theme setup. I would be very grateful if someone could please do so.

EDIT - Discard the above message. I just found what I was looking for while going through the previous posts lol. I seriously need to start doing that before posting requests lol.

Does this skin still work? I am new to Rainmeter and haven't had any luck finding any plugins that work with Spotify.

I am using the 3.2.1 r2386 64-bit (March 24 2015) version of Rainmeter.

Installed Soita v1.0.1 from DeviantArt
http://poiru.deviantart.com/art/Soita-for-Rainmeter-209864541

Downloaded SpotifyPlugin64.zip from the first post in this thread and copied the .ini file to Program Files/Rainmeter/Plugins folder.

I also created a folder named SpotifyPlugin in Documents/Rainmeter but not sure if that was neccessary. I copied the default.jpg and pasted it in that folder.

What am I missing? I would like for it to look like this with a transparent background if possible.

Hello, I'm needing a bit of help with a skin that i'musing. basically, i need someone to please add the Spotify plugin to it because I don't know enough about making and/or editing skins to do so myself. The skin itself plays the music fro Spotify but it doesn't display anything. From what I can tell it currently is using the now playing plugin, and i need it to use the Spotify plugin. shall post the ini file and a screenshot to show what i mean.

The ini for it is i this rar file
botMed.rar
This is the screenshot for reference

EDIT: Still on version 1.0.4.90 and now it's just the same as before, no cover, N/A, but clicking play/pause now works.

Hmm, everything looks to be in order... You are not using Spotify in private mode right?

Try updating Spotify to 1.0.5.178.g885b099b as it fixed some crashing bugs for me.

Also try starting Spotify as administrator and look if anything changes.

Hello everyone i have reworked the ini to suit my needs took off star ratings and volume as i never used. also updated so track name, artist name, and album now show properly.
I'm using windows 8.1 x64 and beta rainmeter.

Still need to follow directions and install the plugins found on this page.
http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17077

To summarize
Manual Install:
Download the SpitifyPlugin.zip below.
Choose the version corresponding with your rainmeter version.
Go to "Program Files/Rainmeter/Plugins", "Program Files(x86)/Rainmeter/Plugins" for 32 bit version
Paste the file

To get a better picture with your local songs, you can make it switch to the default spotify album cover:
Go to "My documents".
Navigate to "Rainmeter/SpotifyPlugin". (If you haven't used the plugin yet, this folder might not exist)
Paste the image below. ("default.jpg")
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
