Algebra Solver -- Unfinished

Post by revolt4peace »

UPDATE: I have gone into version 33.3 of Algebra Solver, which can be downlaoded here.

Please give feedback, report bugs, and/or request formulas!

Error codes are there for a reason! Please send them to me, along with the input associated with them.

Thank you and have a nice day.

New Version - 32 Download here!.

NOTE: FOR SOME EXPRESSIONS, YOU MAY HAVE TO ENTER "0+" IN FRONT OF YOUR EXPRESSION, AT LEAST FOR THE CURRENT VERSION. ERRORS WILL OCCUR IF YOU DON'T. (This is only in a few cases, don't worry!)

Equations:

--Expressions(such as 1+1 or (sqrt(cos(asin(0.45))))**(3+frac(20/7)))
||
--Solveable# Solved/Negatives/Decimals/Shows_Work Type
--| 1 |Y/Y/Y/Y |x^2+x+1=0 or x^2+x=1 - Now supports imaginary answers!
--| 2 |Y/Y/Y/Y |x+1=0 or x=0
--| 3 |Y/Y/Y/Y |1+x=0
--| 4 |Y/Y/Y/Y |x^2+1=0 or x^2=0 - Also supports imaginary answers!
--| 5 |Y/Y/Y/Y |1(x+1)=0 or 1(x)=0 or (x)=0
--| 6 |Y/Y/Y/Y |1(1+x)=0
--| 7 |Y/Y/Y/Y |x^2+x+1<(>)0 or x^2+x<(>)1
--| 8 |Y/Y/Y/Y |x+1<(>)0 or x<(>)0
--| 9 |Y/Y/Y/Y |1+x<(>)0

New version - 28

It would be amazing if even one person would find this useful. I would love someone to send requests to me for features, equations, colors, anything!

Maybe one suggestion: if I enter an equation, the skin solves it, but to enter the next one, I have to reset the skin. It would be nice to can modify the entered equation. I mean that eg if I eneter the x^2-4x+5=0 equation, the skin gives the solutions: 1 and 4. If I click to the equation and modify it to x^2-3x+2=0, the skin gives no solutions. If I reset it then entering the new equation once again, the proper solutions are returned.

Yes, or right click. But maybe you could consider fixing that?

Wait, I'm confused. What exactly do you want me to fix?
I thought you were talking about being able to edit the text before you reset it...
click on the text box to edit text, (must reset for expressions before you enter a new one though) and right click to reset. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

The skin should solve the edited equation. Now if you enter an equation, the skin shows the solution, then if you edit the equation, the skin says it has no solutions (in fact it will not show any solution and will become red).
Try to enter the x^2-5x+4=0 equation. The skin gives the solutions: 1 and 4. If you modify the equation (without reset!) to x^2-3x+2=0, there will be no solutions. But after a reset and reentering the same (last) equation, the solutions will appear: 1 and 2.

Oh, thanks! you found a bug! I'll be sure to fix that for 28.8. :D

It's come a long way since version 0, hasn't it?
