Please share your opinion and what you like or dislike about this new version. I've taken a lot into consideration over the past months and have been listening to bug reports. Hopefully this fixes those issues. Notably, the setup screen gives you the option to enable or disable workspace reservation before the setting is turned on, which should appeal to the devs on these forums that really did not like that it was enabling this without user prior knowledge. This version is beta, and may not function properly (or at all). Please post your problems here. Thank you!

Brightness:
mouse scroll down - brightness gets lower (OK), scroll up is not working properly (gets a little brighter and stays)

Play/Pause buttons are too big. It is better to replace it with:

or:

Always show Droptop switch in right click menu is out of border:

My resolution is 1280x720, not all settings are visible, some are out of the screen and not reachable.
Great work by the way!

Most of these are now fixed. Thanks for the scouting. I can't replicate the backlight scrolling problem, though. Are you running a 32-bit OS?

Re: Droptop (Formally Desktop+) beta test #2
It was x64 Win 7 Pro, although brightness plugin works with another themes there (scrolling). I tried it on another notebook (Win 7 Pro 32x) and it is OK. Will try to find out why.
Also, you suggested to use DesktopCoral with Desktop+, do I still need it?
features request:
I like to have a clock in the middle and wifi status on the left. How hard will it be to add custom positions?
Do you plan to add multi language support?
Adding icons to toolbar folder's name would be great.
I hope you can also add a simple timer.

A timer or stopwatch option feature is in the works, but not priority right now.
To put a clock in the center, I suggest using many of the existing clock skins and simply overlapping the center of Droptop with a Z position of 0 or higher. Droptop is by default set to -2 or "On Desktop". Same goes for the Wifi button position. Droptop (and Desktop+) have always been designed to work well with other skins from the get-go. Deviantart has a exemplary selection to choose from.
Icons will probably not be made an option by me, but feel free to add them yourself.
Multi-language support is probably not something a uni-lingual person like myself is capable of implementing. When I've officially released Droptop, I would be able to include a download link in the description of the download page to a custom RMSKIN with any language, if you would like to translate all of the text to your language and send me a .zip of the files.

Good idea, i will save your clock as extra ini file and import global settings there.220v110 wrote:To put a clock in the center, I suggest using many of the existing clock skins
I will try to find a solution, my notebook has only 1366 pixels, I use short names now as a quick solution.220v110 wrote: Icons will probably not be made an option by me
You don't have to translate it, I will try to tranlate it into Russian and probably German. You just have to include files to translate. Check for example this skin http://vclouds.deviantart.com/art/VClouds-Weather-2-179058977220v110 wrote:Multi-language support is probably not something a uni-lingual person
17 languages! They all in the @Resources/Language folder.
I still use CoralDesktop, because rainmeter not always working. What for do we need to setup bottom taskbar height?

Re: Droptop (Formally Desktop+) beta test #2
Bug report:
https://yadi.sk/i/xV6UNS4AhAxth
sometimes battery window is moved to the left. It was OK in D+.
Found why: if you disable something on the right (weather for example), a position of menu remains where it was, if I use scroll up or down gesture. If I click it is OK.
About a brightness bug:
If I replace
MouseScrollUpAction= [!CommandMeasure "MeasureBacklight" "ChangeBacklight 5"][!Update]
with
MouseScrollUpAction= [!CommandMeasure "MeasureBacklight" "Backlight+"][!Update]
it works without problems.
Suggestion:
Windows normally has OK on the left and Cancel on the right, you have swapped it
https://yadi.sk/i/b8OPKi8qhAzKE
I think keeping it usual is a better idea:
