You are trying to run a 32bit plugin on a 64bit version of Rainmeter. Won't work.eagle5968 wrote:i downloaded a skin online and used one of the core temp function...when i open it up gives me msg saying coretemp plugin .dll missing and also says metercputemp cannot be bound with measurecputemp

Don't think one exists. You might try the speedfan plugin that comes with Rainmeter. There are quite a few skins that use it, you can search here and on http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/sysmonitor/rainmeter/?order=5eagle5968 wrote:where can i find 64 bit plugins?

Hey guys, I'm getting the same problem but my installed Rainmeter is 32bit. Except I only get the message saying the .dll is missing.

I'm getting the same problem. I've downloaded the setup file from http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/Core-Temp-setup.exe, and I'm using the example skin from http://rainmeter.net/cms/Plugins-CoreTemp_beta, but to no avail. Is there a second file that I need to download in order to get CoreTemp to work with Rainmeter?IceFire wrote:Hey guys, I'm getting the same problem but my installed Rainmeter is 32bit. Re: coretemp plugin dll missing
Well, here is the problem.
There was an old CoreTemp plugin long ago, that was 32bit only. It has long since been abandoned by its author and has not been updated.
Now, the actual author of the CoreTemp application has generously worked to create a Rainmeter plugin for CoreTemp. It is fully functional, and supports XP/Vista/Win7 and 32bit/64bit. We will be adding this plugin to the beta this weekend (Sunday, 30 January), and what you saw at http://rainmeter.net/cms/Plugins-CoreTemp_beta was us getting ahead of the documentation that will be needed.
So if you hang on til Sunday you will get a whole new CoreTemp.dll and can use it to create new skins, or probably even edit old skins that were using the defunct CoreTempPlugin.dll with a minimum of effort.
Do NOT use the old plugin CoreTempPlugin.dll now or in the future. It has been superseded by the shiny new CoreTemp plugin, CoreTemp.dll, included with the Rainmeter installation.
You will indeed need to get the actual CoreTemp application from http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/Core-Temp-setup.exe as that needs to be running in the background if you are going to use skins with the new plugin.
