V.I.S.O.R. = Volunteer In Service Of Rainmeter

A concept developed by our beloved GhostMatrix sometime ago.
It was discussed to make this a members group, but was deemed to be too much, and would defeat the purpose of being a "Volunteer"

How do I become a member of V.I.S.O.R?

That is easy:

If you have helped others with Rainmeter.
If you have helped promote Rainmeter.
if you have helped developed the core software.
If you have built and supported a skin.
If you have converted someone to Rainmeter from another software.
If you have helped in the expansion of Rainmeter.
If you have devoted any of your time to the Rainmeter community

Then you are already a V.I.S.O.R. member

being a V.I.S.O.R. member is purely voluntary.
Self imposed!
No membership, no fees, no special what have you.
it is something that you believe that is in you to do.
To believe in Rainmeter, help others with Rainmeter, and to promote Rainmeter


So what do I get for being a V.I.S.O.R. member?

That is something each voluntary member derives for themselves.
Some of us have customized signatures, most of us do not even show that we are members.
V.I.S.O.R. members are already being recognized by the community and is slowly growing.

So where is V.I.S.O.R. going?

To start; bendenfield has started a group on DeviantArt to support the skinning community, and is serious about concreting the Rainmeter presence at deviantArt.
bendenfield has requested a forum to address issues and to help expand the Rainmeter DeviantArt group, and this has been done.
What bendenfield and chewtoy are doing is very exciting. We should support, and assist, them and wish this group luck as it grows and becomes established.
If this is not a V.I.S.O.R. effort, then I do not know what is

bendenfield pulled this off from scratch, and any one can.
The space for Rainmeter group development can be made available to you through these forums, as has been done for the DeviantArt Group.

I have established a forum so that if folks are so inclined, they can tell their stories.
tell their stories on how they have help Rainmeter, the community, to promote, and to assist others with Rainmeter.
If you have a V.I.S.O.R. Story, I want to read it, and see it if you images.
Of course these stories should be outside of what happens here at the forums, as most of the folks will already know (ie. My typing skills is already infamous so please do not write about this)

I would like to see a V.I.S.O.R. Team Code of Ethics developed and proposed, adjusted, and then become an official creed (for lack of better word)
Something developed by the community that V.I.S.O.R members can hold dear to.
Something that will inspire and encourage us into the future.

I would propose to see a Rainmeter Mission Statement developed.
Every great business, program, education institute, volunteer service, and person has a mission statement.
There are incredibly few exceptions.
This mission statement would then be publicly modified, adjusted, and submitted to Rainy for a final approval.
This is definitely something that can only be developed by V.I.S.O.R. members, whether you think you are a member or not.
So all are welcome to input.

Signatures.
I would like to develop a signature page for V.I.S.O.R. Team members.
These signatures are only limited by 2 things:
Appropriateness
Imagination
If you submit signature for the V.I.S.O.R Team/group, you are welcome to submit them to these forums, and I will get them put together and available for use.

I hope that as others come by and read this post, that their concepts will add and enrich the Rainmeter software and community.
