As requested, here is an addon that will set all configs found in Rainmeter.ini to "On Desktop" with one click. This is a "one way street", as there is no way to "remember" the previous setting, (Normal, Bottom, etc.) but since most of us set everything to "On Desktop" in any case, this can be useful when you install a new suite of skins and want to set them all at once.

The addon must reside in [Rainmeter]\Addons\SetDesktop. The attached .rmskin will automatically install it there.
