Free Microsoft Software for Students

Post by JamesAC »

Students can get free versions of various development software packages direct from microsoft through the DreamSpark site. There is quite a comprehensive list of software available including the new Visual Studio 2010 Pro.

As far as I can tell it is available worldwide as long as you are at a registered institution. UK users have the alternative of using an .ac.uk email address if their college is not registered and I assume the equivalent email addresses will work in other countries.

Thanks for that info, James! I know someone that is using a 60 day trial of Microsoft Project to finish up an assignment that he can now purchase for $18.30. Regular price is $599.00. He's going to be real happy once he gets my message about it.
